Fans who tuned in to today's game between the Boston Bruins and Philadelphia Flyers were treated to an epic heavyweight showdown between a pair of the National Hockey League's toughest customers.

It wasn't long before things got ugly between the Bruins and Flyers on Saturday with Bruins forward Tanner Jeannot and Flyers forward Nicolas Deslauriers dropping the gloves less than 10 minutes into today's game. It appeared prior to the start of the game that Jeannot and Deslauriers may have exchanged words and just minutes into the game these two men would square off for what turned out to be one hell of a fight.

Both men started the battle with their helmets on but by the time it was all said and done both of their buckets were strewn across the ice, and in Deslauriers case he was busted open and leaking from his face as he was dragged to the penalty box.

While it was a back and forth affair between the two big men, it would be Jeannot who would eventually take over late in the fight. Jeannot would land several unanswered shots to the exposed head of Deslauriers, eventually forcing the Flyers forward to bear hug Jeannot to stop the offensive onslaught. It was only at that point that the officials on the ice stepped in to seperate them.
