It seems like while from the outside looking in Taylor Hall was without a doubt one of the few bright spots on the Edmonton Oilers roster, there may have been a very different feeling about him within the organization, at least among some.
First it was teammate Oscar Klefbom calling out Hall, and while he would later clarify his comments stating that several players on the Oilers roster would fit this description, he did not retract them.
"But at the same time, it's also somewhat tricky to pinpoint exactly what he has been able to accomplish for us.
Unfortunately, he rarely had his best games when we played the toughest teams - when we might've needed it the most - while he always played amazingly well when we were up towards the somewhat (lesser) teams."
Russian reporter Igor Eronko has the chance to catch up with another former teammate of Taylor Hall's this week, goaltender Ben Scrivens, and while Scrivens was for more charitable in his comments, at least the ones reported thus far, he also appeared to endorse what Klefbom said.
'He would know pretty well, he played with him for a while, and I can't say he's wrong'
