While it was clear former Edmonton Oiler and current New Jersey Devils' forward Taylor Hall was rather bitter about being traded during the offseason, but it seemed like he had been relatively subdued in expressing those feelings, until today.

Hall was far more open about his feelings in a recent interview with NJ.com's Chris Ryan, and went so far as to say that he resented his former team for the decision that they made to trade him in exchange for defenseman Adam Larsson.

"Just the way everything went down, I still hold a bitter resentment towards them," Hall said.

It's a shocking statement from Hall, and it was without a doubt the big take away from the interview, Hall also said some positive things about coming to New Jersey but i seems hollow given his aforementioned statement.

"But most of all, I'm excited about what I can do here (in New Jersey) and the team I can be on," Hall said. "I think it's a great change of scenery. I wish the players on that team all the best, but I'm focused and excited about what I can do here."

The comments almost seem like a cookie cutter answer, making them feel far less genuine that his statement about the Oilers. If I'm the New Jersey Devils I'm not happy about this one bit, and if I'm the Edmonton Oilers I'm feeling a lot better about this trade after seeing what may be a lack of maturity in a player who now has several years of NHL experience.
