Taylor Hall slams Devils fans amidst trade rumours!

The New Jersey Devils might have had all of the best intentions to acquire and sign players to build a contender for the Stanley Cup, so far it has yet convinced star forward Taylor Hall that they could go all the way. Especially seeing that they have won just two games so far this season…

This could mean that Devils general manager Ray Shero will have to consider moving Hall this season in a blockbuster trade and already talks have heated up.

On Wednesday night, the heat got worse when Hall criticized the fanbase in New Jersey after a 7-6 overtime loss at the hands of the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Hall couldn’t believe all the boos he was hearing on the ice, despite the fact that he and his teammates still managed to answer back to last year’s President winners.

“We’re 1 for 3 on the power play and getting booed,” he said. “It’s a tied game and we are getting booed. That’s a tough environment to play in, especially when you are home. I know when we are playing somewhere and their fans start booing it’s a fun environment for the away team to play in. I understand the fans’ frustration. After the game if they are booing us losing that’s fine.”

He was quite annoyed when he met with reporters… Not a good sign.

Goaltender Cory Schneider, who made just 16 saves, gave credit to his teammates, who did everything they could to win.

“Look I mean I am probably not going to say a whole lot,” Schneider said per TSN. “My teammates played well enough to win. We deserved to win that game and scored six goals and should win going away. The difference tonight was in net so the game speaks for itself.”

The Devils will need to go back to the drawing board - again - as they face the Philadelphia Flyers on Friday.

Let’s hope Hall and the fans are in a better mood and that this event won’t affect his decision to leave the Devils and test free agency…
