TEAM CANADA: London police comments rumours targeting 4 players

Fans have been waiting for a resolution in the 2018 World Juniors sex scandal every since it was confirmed by the NHL that an investigation was re-launched on the matter. Last year, it was revealed that Hockey Canada quietly settled a lawsuit filed by a woman who alleges she was sexually assaulted by eight unnamed players, including several members of the country’s 2018 world junior team, following a gala in London, Ontario.

Earlier today, we pointed out thanks to many fans on social media that goalie Carter Hart made his Instagram account private and removed “Flyers” from his bio. He also went dark on his account, which prompted much chatter on his involvement in the crime.

In addition to Hart, three other players on the 2018 Hockey Canada World Junior team have also gone dark on their Instagram accounts. Fans also pointed out that Brett Howden of the Vegas Golden Knights, Dillon Dube of the Calgary Flames, Jonah Gadjovich of the San Jose Sharks have also done the same.

The London Police was contacted by Katie Strang to find out what was happening with the investigation and got the update that it remains ongoing.

“According to London Police spokesperson reached this morning, the investigation into 2018 WJC sexual assault allegations remains “active and ongoing”.

The London Police is doing its job and clearly wants no more mistakes made in this very serious matter.

However, with training camps on the horizon and getting rapidly closer, the NHL should be prepared to provide a significant update in the near future so that teams are adequately prepared.
