Team Canada makes change to lineup following shutout win
Canada is right back to action at the WJC, riding the momentum from a tournament-opening win. See the projected lineup below:
Canada is back in action on Friday night after their tournament-opening 4-0 victory against Finland, facing off against Latvia in their second preliminary game at the World Junior Championship. Carter George was perfect in net and was named player of the game for Team Canada, however on Friday morning, head coach Dave Cameron announced that Jack Ivankovic will get the start against Latvia.
According to TSN’s Mark Masters, this is the only lineup change ahead of tonight’s contest by Canada:
"Jack Ivankovic starts tonight for Team Canada."
Latvia is playing in their fourth consecutive tournament. Team Canada is looking to build on its strong start.
Canada and Finland are in Group A along with the United States, Germany and Latvia. The Americans thumped the Germans 10-4 earlier Thursday. Sweden, Czechia, Slovakia, Switzerland and Kazakhstan make up Group B.
