The World Juniors are just around the corner and with the final rosters all set to go teams are starting to move forward with some key decision for the tournament.

On Monday Team Canada, one of the perennial favorites to win the entire event, named it's captain as well as two additional alternate captains for the event. Taking over the "C" will be forward Dylan Strome who will be joined by Mathew Barzal and Thomas Chabot who will each doen the "A."

Hockey Canada release the following statement:

We have eight players on this team who are captains of their club teams, and numerous other associate captains, so there is an abundance of leadership,” said Dominique Ducharme, head coach of Canada’s National Junior Team. “Dylan, Mat and Thomas have been through this tournament before, and we have confidence in their ability to lead this team on and off the ice.”
