After a relatively slow deadline day in the NHL, trades have begun to roll in hours after the 3 PM cutoff.

According to Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Sun, the Ottawa Senators have sent prospect Conor Allen to the Minnesota Wild in exchange for Michael Keranen.

Allen is an undrafted defensive prospect, who will likely spend most of his time with the Iowa Wild of the American Hockey League (AHL). The 26-year old has yet to record a point in seven NHL appearances.

Keranen is a Swedish-born winger who had some success at the AHL level, while playing with the Iowa Wild. The 26-year old recorded 10 goals and 27 assists in 70 games with Iowa last season. He has totaled 23 total points in 45 AHL appearances in 2015-16.
