Helsinki, Finland based KHL team Jokerit has announced that they will be withdrawing from the Russian hockey league for next season. Additionally, team president and Hockey Hall of Famer Jari Kurri has stepped down from his position with the KHL Board of Directors.

Jokerit announced back in February that it would NOT be participating in the 2022 KHL Playoffs, which is currently in the Conference Finals.

It's expected that Jokerit will re-join the top professional league in Finland, Liiga, next season.
