Technical problem ruins Wes McCauley’s call on the ice
The show must go on, Wes!

Referee Wes McCauley is known for making extravagant calls on the ice and that’s why he is one of the most beloved officials in the game.
On Tuesday night, McCauley had to review a goal from the New York Rangers since New York Islanders head coach Barry Trotz challenged it and believed if was offside.
After reviewing the play, McCaulay skated to centre ice to make the call. However, his microphone went out for a couple seconds, but McCauley notices.
The technical problem ruined his usual funny performance, but he still made us smile as McCaulay can be heard saying: “oh, my mic went out.”
He goes on to make the call, but you can tell his performance did not go as planned:
We still love you, Wes!
