Tension in Bruins’ dressing room has Marchand and Rask arguing

Do we need a referee in their room?

It was a tough blow for the Boston Bruins on Thursday when the Carolina Hurricanes tied the series at one game apiece thanks to a 3-2 victory. The players were pleased to meet with media afterwards and star goalie Tuukka Rask appeared frustrated when he talked about the atmosphere in Toronto as he dislikes playing in an empty arena.

“It doesn’t really feel like playoff hockey right now. There’s no fans. It feels like an exhibition game.”

Well, there isn’t much that can be done about that, and that might be why forward Brad Marchand strongly disagreed with his teammate. When he was informed of what Rask had said about the atmosphere of playing hockey in the bubble, Marchand corrected his goalie, wanting him to focus on the playoff and not the overall atmosphere lingering in the building.

“Maybe he was talking about the round robin games.

“These are playoff games - playoff atmosphere.”

Clearly, the two Bruins players aren’t in agreement about this, but their tempers might have been affected by the loss.

Thursday was a tough day in general in the Bruins’ dressing room as star player David Pastrnak was deemed unfit to play in the second game of the series and was seen in the stands during the contest.

Maybe he should have been louder in order for Rask to hear him and feel like a playoff game. Marchand might have felt that Pasta cheered him out when he tied the game with seconds to go in the second period.

Come on Rask, Marchand tells you it’s playoff atmosphere, you better feel it! Some fans made fun of Rask for his comments and we hope Marchand's comments has gotten to the netminder.
