Terry Ryan drops the gloves at 47 years old!
Former Montreal Canadiens first round pick Terry Ryan returned for a curtain call and ended up having a fight!
Terry Ryan turned back the clock on his 47th birthday and boy did he ever make it count.
In what came as a huge surprise to many, on his 47th birthday former Montreal Canadiens first round pick Terry Ryan was unveiled as the newest member of the Newfoundland Growlers of the ECHL. Ryan signed a contract with the organization and immediately suited up for a game today against the Adirondack Thunder.
Ryan had quite the eventful outing nearly scoring a goal in the game's final period:
What is likely to be best remembered from today though is the fact that, at the age of 47, Ryan opted to drop the gloves after he took exception to a hit delivered to one of his new teammates.
Ryan has not played professionally in over 20 years but he certainly looked at home on Sunday.
