It seems that the Chicago Blackhawks plan on mixing things up for tonight's preseason match against the Detroit Red Wings.  Yesterday we covered a story on Joel Quenneville and his plan to split up the magic duo known as Patrick Kane and Artemi Panarin

Based on this mornings skate lines that might be exactly what he is doing.  First line we have Fortin-Anisomov-Kane which is a huge deal for Fortin because eyes are on him and if he performs exceptionally well it could lead to an increased chance at clinching a regular season spot.  Next up is Panarin-Schmaltz-Panik which will put pressure of Panarin to prove that he can create chemistry with forwards other than Kane and Anisomov.

The last 2 lines are as follows: Motte-Kruger-Hartman and Hinostroza-Desjardins-Tootoo.

The team has already made 14 cuts since Monday and is left with 17 forwards. However, only about 13 or 14 of them will remain and this game will definitely leave the coaching staff with much to contemplate before the 2016-2017 regular season begins.
