As the final regular season home opener took place yesterday evening at the Joe Louis Arena in light of the “Farewell Season at the Joe”, fans in attendance were treated to a night of beautiful ceremonies, including a tribute to the late great Mr. Hockey Gordie Howe.


After 37 years at the now-infamous arena in Detroit, the Red Wings invited legendary actor Jeff Daniels to narrate the opening show that was featured before the start of the Senators-Red Wings game.
