We had a very busy first day in the National Hockey League's free agent frenzy, but despite the numerous signings and trades made on the day there are still plenty of solid names still available on the open market.

It would be a little unfair to call these the best of the rest as there are some high quality players still up for grabs, but it seems likely that we will see more of a slow burn when it comes to these names than the frenzy we witnessed on Day 1.
