This just in, the Montreal Canadiens have traded 22 year old prospect Logan Mailloux to the St. Louis Blues in exchange for 22 year old forward Zack Bolduc.

Mailloux, the Habs' controversial 1st round pick in 2021 played just seven games for the team last season, playing the majority of the campaign with the AHL's Laval Rocket.

Mailloux, of course, was charged and fined in Sweden after it was revealed that he secretly recorded a young woman while they were engaged in a sexual act. Mailloux then shared the images and the identity of the woman with his teammates.

Once news of the transgression became public, Mailloux renounced himself from the 2021 NHL Entry Draft and informed teams that he did not want to be selected. He wanted to work on his personal life and build himself back up to being NHL worthy. Then-Habs GM Marc Bergervin simply ignored Mailloux's request and drafted him anyways.

Since then, Mailloux has worked hard to re-establish his image and has been nothing but a model citizen. He's an intriguing prospect, for sure, but one who could also benefit from a fresh start with a new team.

Personally, I'm intrigued to see what he can do with the Blues moving forward.
