This just in from NHL insider Darren Dreger, the New York Rangers have reportedly acquired defenseman Carson Soucy from the Vancouver Canucks.


Sportsnet insider Elliotte Friedman reports that the Canucks get a 3rd round pick and that they are not retaining any salary in in the deal.



Soucy is in the second year of a three year contract that pays him $3.25 million per season. More to come, including official confirmation, on this deal.
