The Dallas Stars have picked a defenseman at #3.

The Dallas Stars have made their pick at number three. 

While there was speculation all week that the Dallas Stars would be looking to trade their third overall pick in this draft, they instead made a big pick by adding two-way defenseman Miro Heiskanen with the pick. 

Miro Heiskanen has often been described as the type of defenseman that does not make mistakes, and there's no doubt that Stars general manager Jim Nill knows his blue line is in desperate need of an upgrade.

Heiskanen has also grown a great deal over the past year, and there's a belief that the added size will be a huge asset for him, and by extension the Dallas Stars.
