In what is guaranteed to be an emotional night for the Philadelphia Flyers' organization and their fans, the team will honor founder Ed Snider with another addition to the Wells Fargo Center.

The team will honor the late Flyers' owner/founder on Monday by painting the ice surface behind both goals with Snider's initials - E.M.S. (born Edward Malcolm).

The players have already donned a commemorative patch on the Flyers' playoff jerseys and this will be yet another addition honoring the man who owned the team since they joined the NHL in 1967.

The team also placed a large banner outside the arena celebrating the man.

Snider passed away last Monday.
