For fans of the Detroit Red Wings who are hoping to see forward Tyler Bertuzzi return from yet another injury setback in short order, you'll apparently have to wait longer.
The gritty forward has already missed nearly three months of playing time this season thanks to his having broken not one but both of his hands in separate shot blocking incidents. And now, he's once again been forced to miss time - this time thanks to a lower body injury that necessitated his leaving Thursday night's game against the Vegas Golden Knights.
Bertuzzi didn't play in Saturday night's 2-1 loss at Little Caesars Arena to the Philadelphia Flyers, and according to head coach Derek Lalonde, he won't be playing tomorrow night at Little Caesars Arena.
Unfortunately for the Red Wings, Bertuzzi hasn't been providing the offensive punch they were hoping for in the games that he has appeared in this season. In the 15 games that he's played, he's scored only a single goal to go with four assists along with a -5 plus minus rating.
The Red Wings will be looking to get back on track tomorrow night against the San Jose Sharks, another team that is well outside of the postseason picture.
