The Leafs made a couple of roster moves today, in hopes that some of their injured players will be back in the lineup.

The Leafs announced on Sunday that forwards Kasperi Kapanen and Brendan Leipsic have been sent down to the Toronto Marlies (AHL).

This news comes on the heels of head coach Mike Babcock's announcement, that forwards Milan Michalek and Brad Boyes are close to returning to the lineup, as per Jonas Siegel of the Canadian Press.

Boyes has missed the team's last two games with an upper-body injury, while Michalek has yet to make his Leafs' debut after suffering a broken finger on Jan. 22.

Leipsic has a goal and two assists in six games with the Leafs, while Kapanen six shots on goal in four appearances since Feb. 29.
