The Montreal Canadiens have acquired Andrew Shaw from the Chicago Blackhawks in exchange for two second-round picks, back in 2016. General manager Marc Bergevin was extremely happy of this transaction, since Shawzy is exactly the kind of player the Habs needed on their second line. Plus, the 26-year-old forward had won the Stanley Cup twice, in 2013 and 2015.
However, some experts suggest this trade wasn't great for the Canadiens, because the two players that were selected with the second-round choices that were traded away are very talented: Alex DeBrincat, a young and skilled forward, scored 65 goals in just 63 games last year in the OHL, and Samuel Girard, a promising defenseman who's now part of the opening night roster for the Nashville Predators.
If you had to pick between these two lineups, which one would you choose? Tell us in the comments!
