The Edmonton Oilers have undergone many changes, including a new GM. Now that GM has decided to hire a familiar face to the organization.
According to Bob McKenzie of TSN, the Edmonton Oilers will reportedly be hiring Keith Gretzky, the brother of NHL legend Wayne Gretzky, as assistant general manager. New GM Peter Chiarelli is very familiar with Gretzky, as he has been working as the director of amateur scouting for the Boston Bruins since 2013.
Before his time in Boston, Gretzky served as a scout in the Arizona Coyotes organization from 2001-06, and then worked as the team's director of amateur scouting until 2011.
Gretzky will b replacing Bill Scott, has been Edmonton's Assistant General Manager since 2014.
