A breath of fresh air for Oil Country.

The Edmonton Oilers have officially activated goaltender Tristan Jarry and defenseman Jake Walman off the injured reserve today. Additionally, Connor Ingram has been moved from emergency recall status to regular recall. Forward Adam Henrique has been moved to long-term injured reserve.

With Jarry back and with Ingram now on the full-time roster that leaves the Oilers with three netminders when you factor in Calvin Pickard. It remains to be seen what happens but I would suspect that Jarry will hold down the starting position while Ingram and Pickard battle it out for the backup position.

It's easy to count Pickard but every time in his career that he's had to fight for his NHL life he has clutched up. Sure, Ingram might be the hot pick right now but don't count out Pickard until the fat lady sings.

Thoughts, Oilers fans?
