Adding Elmer Soderblom to the roster.
The Pittsburgh Penguins have acquired forward Elmer Soderblom from the Detroit Red Wings in exchange for a 2026 third-round draft pick (originally belonging to San Jose).
Soderblom is 6 foot 8. He, who is 24 years young, was originally selected by Detroit in the sixth round (159th overall) of the 2019 NHL Draft.
So far this season, he has collected just a pair of goals and an assist for three points in 38 games, while primarily skating in a bottom-six role.
Time for a fresh start in Pittsburgh.
