The heat is officially on for all management staff. Especially for Cam Neely, Don Sweeney, and Claude Julien.

Earlier today, the Boston Bruins held a media conference, and among the attendees was longtime owner Jeremy Jacobs. He didn’t mince his words when talking about his expectations. “I expect that we’ll go deep into the playoffs,” he said.

The Bruins are currently in a transitional period, and many believe that a deep playoff run is too soon. However, Jacobs wasn’t having any of it. The Bruins had trouble getting past second round since their cup run in 2013, and didn’t make the playoffs at all the last two seasons.

Can they make the playoffs this year, and potentially go deeper than the last few years?

“I think this is a very good mix of young and older, experienced players. I’m looking forward to their going into the playoff season,” is all Jacobs had to say.
