The San Jose Sharks have made their first round pick at #19.

The San Jose Sharks have made their first round draft selection. 

The Sharks had a late pick in the first round of the draft, and despite some players projected to go in the first half of the draft falling to them, they went with Josh Norris.

Norris was projected to be selected in the later stages of the first round, and even early in the second round in some mock drafts, however the Sharks obviously believe he can be a big impact player for them. 

Norris has incredible speed, and that has been the asset that has been turning heads at the NHL level, and it seems like the Sharks feel that speed will translate well at the NHL level.
