UPDATE: NHL insider Elliotte Friedman confirms that the Stars have traded Matt Dumba and a 2028 2nd to the Penguins for Vladislav Kolyachonok.
The Stars shed $3.75 million off their cap with this move, at the cost of a 2nd round pick.
As for Kolyachonok, he's a 24 year old with 74 games NHL experience who was only able to get into 12 games for the struggling Penguins last season. Look for him to suit up for the AHL's Texas Stars next season.
This just in, according to Dallas Stars insider Brennan Klak is reporting that the Dallas Stars have traded defenseman Matt Dumba to the Pittsburgh Penguins in exchange for Vladislav Kolyachonok.
