The National Hockey League is currently a goaltender's paradise with big superstar goalies being arguably the most valuable commodity in the league at the moment.
With that said it made it rather difficult for us to narrow down this list just to three, there were an incredible amount of saves that could have made this list, any number of which you could argue deserved top 3.
We did narrow it down to three though, and for number three we only need look back to last month when St. Louis Blues' goaltender Jake Allen robbed Blackhawks forward Marko Dano with a glove save on the goal line. This is about as close as you can get without the play being ruled a goal, and for that reason Allen earns our number three spot.
#3 Jake Allen robs Mark Dano
At number two we have the King himself, Henrik Lundqvist, who had a number of highlight reel saves over the course of 2015. The one that stood out in our mind however was the ridiculous stick save he made after a terrible bounce gave Columbus forward Ryan Johansen what should have been a free goal. Instead the King makes number two on our top three.
At number one we have Red Wings goaltender Petr Mrazek who was thrust in to a number one role after starter Jimmy Howard's injuries and subsequent poor performance had lost him the trust of head coach Mike Babcock. Mrazek performed valiantly and his biggest save gave in the post season when he made one of the most beautiful stick saves you will ever see to rob Lightning forward Brian Boyle.
