The Vancouver Canucks have made their pick.
There was no surprise here, most mock drafts had the Vancouver Canucks selecting Swedish centerman Elias Pettersson and that is exactly who the Canucks selected with their #5 overall pick in the 2017 National Hockey League Entry Draft.
Pettersson is coming off an incredible season for Timra IK of the Hockeyttan league in Sweden, a season that saw him record a whopping 19 goals and 21 assists for 40 points in just 43 games.

The Canucks are hoping his dynamic offensive skills will translate at the NHL level.
