The Minnesota Wild unveiled their Stadium Series jerseys on Tuesday. The Wild will wear these jerseys in the outdoor game on Dec. 21 against the Chicago Blackhawks.
The Wild said in a statement:
Two unique features highlight the jersey. The State of Hockey™ logo on the shoulder is a tribute to the loyal fan base of the region. It is the first time that this popular brand symbol has appeared on any Wild jersey. The new ligature "M" logo on the pant is a bold reproduction taken from the iconic third jersey word mark. Enlarged numbers on the sleeves and back are adaptations of the Wild's current number system, scaled for greater visibility in the stadium setting. The jersey crest features the Minnesota Wild primary logo and jersey colors are primarily Forest Green with Iron Range Red and Minnesota Wheat accents, which is an homage to the team's unique color scheme and identity.
One player who adores the jersey is Mikko Koivu, who couldn't say enough good things about the design.
"I really like the jersey's classic look, the addition of the State of Hockey Logo and the "M" mark to our uniform," he said. "It's an exciting step towards our first outdoor game, which is going to be a great celebration for our fans and the entire State of Hockey."
