Another first rounder victims of talent mismanagement by his team?

Yesterday, a report from Brock Seguin confirmed that former first rounder Anthony Mantha was out of the lineup. The Detroit Red Wings head coach Jeff Blashill was alternating Mantha on the 4th line with Miller and Mantha was most of the time the extra forward.

Mantha said he doesn’t know whether he is in lineup tomorrow but things are not pointing in the right direction for him. It would be a second game in row being healthy scratch for Mantha.

Mantha is a first rounder (20th overall) on the 2013  NHL entry draft. He played 50 games this year with the Wings. He scored 14 goals and registered 19 assists for a total of 33 points.
