The worst is confirmed for Blackhawks F Colin Blackwell
Another setback for Chicago.
HockeyFeed
There really hasn't been much that has gone right for the rebuilding Chicago Blackhawks this season, whether by circumstance or design. They have no chance of the playoffs, and have already traded franchise icon Patrick Kane to the New York Rangers; meanwhile, captain Jonathan Toews may have played his last game owing to the effects of long COVID.
Meanwhile, another Blackhawks player has seen his season come to an end. Forward Colin Blackwell, who is in the first year of a two year deal he signed with the Blackhawks this past offseason, underwent hernia surgery in New York and will be missing the remainder of the regular season.
In his first year with the Blackhawks, Blackwell has tallied two goals with eight assists in 53 games played, while logging an average of 11:48 of ice time.
