It was a scary scene last night at Amalie Arena, as Edmonton Oilers forward Evander Kane had his wrist accidentally cut by the skate of Tampa Bay Lightning forward Pat Maroon.
A profusely bleeding Kane immediately rushed to the bench in obvious distress.
And he won’t be playing any time soon. The Oilers released the following update on Twitter for Kane, who underwent surgery today:
“#Oilers forward Evander Kane has been placed on LTIR & is expected to miss 3-4 months. Mattias Janmark & Klim Kostin have been recalled from the @Condors. We wish Evander the best in his recovery process.”
