The New Jersey Devils have been handed a terrible blow. After star forward Jack Hughes met with team head orthopedic surgeon and Chief Medical Officer Dr. Jonathan L. Glashow for his one-week re-evaluation.
“In that follow up, it was determined that his left shoulder dislocation is stable, there are no unforeseen issues, and he is on course with his rehabilitation program.”
This means that Hughes will be re-evaluated in five weeks, and the Devils will need to do without him until then.
While the good news is that the young star will not be going under the knife for his ailment, this new timeline is heartbreaking for the Devils.
The 20-year-old has two goals and one assist in three games this season.
