Things boil over as J.T. Miller screams at coach Travis Green during Canucks practice

It's an absolute gong show in Vancouver!

It's not exactly a secret that this season has been an unmitigated disaster for the Vancouver Canucks and it appears now that tensions are finally beginning to boil over.

Canucks forward J.T. Miller has never been one to hide his emotions and is often seen as the team's mouthpiece, especially during times of frustration. Put a pissed off Miller in front of a microphone and you're going to find out exactly what he thinks of things.

Last night's post-game media availability from Miller was particularly telling. When asked "is everyone buying in right now?" by a reporter here's what Miller had to say:

Yikes... that eye roll speaks volumes.

Maybe more to the point though was Miller's blow up at Canucks practice today.

Canucks insider Thomas Drance reports that the Canucks struggled through a simple drill at practice today which forced Miller to scream out, "We don't know what we're doing!" to head coach Travis Green.

Check it out:

Yikes... yikes... YIKES.

If this is true it's clear to me that Green has completely lost this team.

The Canucks are an abysmal 6-12-2 in their first 20 games this season and there are rumours swirling that both Green and GM Jim Benning are operating on borrowed time. In other words, it's an absolute shit show in Vancouver.

So... what happens next? Does Green get the axe? Does Benning make one final trade in a desperate attempt to right the ship? Does he ship out Miller to appease Green? There's just so much up in the air with this team right now that it's tough to predict what will happen. One thing is clear to me though: change is needed one way or another.

Canucks owner Francesco Aquilini has some big decisions to make on his team's future and he better make them in a hurry. The longer this mediocrity drags on, the more likely it is that core players like Miller, Brock Boeser, Bo Horvat, Elias Pettersson and Quinn Hughes all ask out of town for better opportunities.
