The 2021 NHL Expansion Draft is this week, and the Seattle Kraken will be selecting players from every other team as they forge their new identity. Naturally, they'll be hoping for a little luck that their future holds in store for them what became of the Vegas Golden Knights, who took a group of misfits to the Stanley Cup Finals in their inaugural season and have consistently been among the NHL's best.
And while there has been rampant speculation as to who will be donning the first official mask in the Kraken crease (Carey Price, anybody?), we have the treat of checking out an absolutely incredible piece of concept art.
Swedish artist David Gunnarsson of DaveArt, who boasts at least 75% of NHL starting goaltenders among his clientele, produced what is truly an eye-popping Kraken design. Check it out for yourself below:

Gunnarsson has been painting professionally since 2001, and his clients have included Price, Henrik Lundqvist, Semyon Varlamov, and countless others.
