Three junior hockey players killed in collision south of Calgary

Three members of the Southern Alberta Mustangs Junior hockey team have been killed in a motor vehicle collision south of Calgary, Alberta.

The team confirmed the news with a post on social media earlier today.

The players were traveling together in a single vehicle when they were involved in the fatal crash.

Global News has confirmed the identities of the three players killed in the horrific accident:

  • Caden Fine, a centre with the team, whose hometown is listed as Birmingham, Ala., on the team’s website
  • JJ Wright, a left-winger whose hometown is Kamloops, B.C., and
  • Cameron Casorso, a goalie who is also from Kamloops, B.C.

Police have not yet released any details of the crash or if anyone else was involved or injured.

RIP to these three young gentlemen. Gone, but never forgotten.
