Three players not named Jake Guentzel who will have breakout seasons for the Pens
Let's see how these players do as defending cup champs!

It is no surprise that Jake Guentzel will most likely have a big year for the Pittsburgh Penguins. Here are three other players we also think could have breakout years with the Pens.
Carter Rowney - Look out for Rowney to have a big role on the 3rd or 4th line for the Pens. If they do not end up signing a center for the third line position, it most likely will be all his.
Daniel Sprong - A pure sniper in junior hockey with the Charlottetown Islanders (QMJHL). He gained some experience early on with the Pens before going back to junior, and should be pro-ready for the 2017-2018 season.
Chad Ruhwedel - A d-man who truly has potential to be a main stay on the blue line. With the departures of Ron Hainsey and Trevor Daley, Ruhwedel will have a chance to log big minutes this season.
