Ticket prices for tonight's gold medal game are insane!

In case you missed it last night, Team Canada managed to get past Team USA in their semi-final matchup and will now move on to face Czechia in the gold medal game this evening.

The Canadians and Americans put on an excellent show last night, but if you wanted to see it in person... well... you probably took out a second mortgage on your home to afford a ticket. That's because scalpers were commanding as much as $64,000 for tickets.

Through a bit of research I was able to find that the cheapest upper bowl ticket for tonight's game between Canada and Czechia is available for $1,000 but what REALLY caught my eye though was THIS insanity:

Yes, that's $1.15 million for a SINGLE ticket! Insane!

In all seriousness, I hope to goodness that no one actually pays these prices. Lord knows that Hockey Canada hasn't earned our support right now, but that's kind of besides the point. The fact of the matter is that no sporting event is worth that amount of money... but that's easy for me to say with my sad little bank balance...
