The moment Max Domi was traded from the Arizona Coyotes to the Montreal Canadiens, father Tie Domi knew that his allegiances would be tested.
The elder Domi, of course, is synonymous with the Toronto Maple Leafs, the Hab’s biggest and longest lasting rival. If you’re a Habs fan, you simply CANNOT be a Leafs fan and vice versa. It’s a rivalry that’s so entrenched in hockey and Canadian culture that it even inspired a famous children’s story in Canada called The Hockey Sweater.
Well… don’t look know, Leafs fans but it appears that Tie has embraced Le Bleu, Blanc et Rouge and left his Leafs allegiance in the past. Check out this video from NBC in which Tie and Max take to the ice at Montreal’s Bell Centre for some fun in a Habs uniform.
If that weren’t enough for you… how’s this for a photo op?
