The NHL stars are bringing their brotherly banter and insider locker room insights to a weekly show fans won’t want to miss.
Brothers Matthew and Brady Tkachuk, of the Florida Panthers and Ottawa Senators, respectively, are following in the footsteps of NFL stars Jason and Travis Kelce by launching their own podcast, “Wingmen.”
The two NHL forwards announced the project Wednesday during a guest appearance on The Pat McAfee Show, with the first episode set to drop Thursday. Matthew revealed that the idea had been in the works for several months.
“We FaceTime pretty much daily, weekly, whatever. Now we’re getting paid to do it,” Matthew said on “The Pat McAfee Show.”
“I’m just super excited to grow the game. Our dad always said, ‘You better leave the game in a better place (than) when you got here.’ … This is our best way of doing it.”
Currently, both brothers are sidelined due to injuries. Matthew has yet to play a single game this 2025-26 season because of a lower-body injury, with a return expected in December. Brady underwent thumb surgery in October and is expected back sometime between late November and early December.
“Wingmen” will feature weekly conversations with guests, offering “unfiltered stories,” “sharp takes,” “brotherly banter,” and “rare locker room insights.” The show is part of Wave Sports & Entertainment, the same digital media group behind the Kelce brothers’ football podcast “New Heights”, basketball Hall of Famer Carmelo Anthony’s “7PM in Brooklyn”, and “House of Maher”, featuring rugby star Ilona Maher and her sisters, Olivia and Adrianna.
