Tom Wilson has some harsh words for Jacob Trouba.

Washington Capitals enforcer Tom Wilson is putting Anaheim Ducks defenseman Jacob Trouba on notice.

On Friday, the Capitals and Ducks clashed in what was a hotly contested and physical game between the two squads. It would be during the first period of this game that Trouba would get Wilson's attention, not with a gesture against Wilson but with a gesture against Wilson's teammate Ryan Leonard.

Trouba would catch Leonard coming around the back of the net with his head down and pummeled him with a monster hit that forced Leonard to go back to the Capitals locker room. You can see a replay of the hit in question just below:

Wilson would take Trouba's number and challenged him to a fight but Trouba would decline, leaving Wilson with no recourse to get his revenge. Following the game Wilson was asked about the incident and did not hold back with his comments.

"I could see it coming," said Wilson." He knows exactly what he's doing, kid was in a vulnerable spot. Leno's pretty banged up."

When it came to the subject of the fight, Wilson left no doubt about who it was that backed down this time around.

"I asked him to fight and he said no, so I'll leave it at that," said Wilson the tone of his words making it clear what he thought of that decision from Trouba.

The Ducks and Capitals will meet again after the Christmas break and I suspect that Trouba will have to keep an eye over his shoulder for Wilson in that meeting.
