Tomas Jurco calls out his former team and city!

On March 1st, the Detroit Red Wings, who were identified as sellers, sent their forward Tomas Jurco to the Chicago Blackhawks. For those who did not know Jurco, he’s as 6ft1, 203-pound right winger. He was drafted in the second round (35 overall) on the 2011 NHL entry draft.

Jurco played 16 games with the Wings this year. He scored 0 goal and registered 0 assists. That’s plenty of zeros everywhere for a former promising forward.

In an interview with the Chicago Tribune, Tomas Jurco revealed some personal feeling and impression on his former city, Detroit.

There’s so much stuff to do,” Jurco said. “In Detroit, we were so bored, my girlfriend and I, we didn’t know what to do… There wasn’t much to do. Here there’s so much stuff to do.

Later on, he mentioned that the Chicago Blackhawks, in contrast to the Wings, encourage creative plays and not just safe plays as Jeff Blashill used to ask him.

The biggest difference is that here we’re told to make plays instead of just making safe plays and chipping it in and playing safely,” Jurco said. “Here you actually should create something if you want to stick in this lineup because there are so many creative players.”
