Tomas Tatar signs a two year deal
The pending free agent has made his decision.
This just in, long-time NHL forward Tomas Tatar has signed a two year contract with EV Zug in the Swiss National League.
Tatar is a pending unrestricted free agent and he was not expect to re-sign with the New Jersey Devils after a lacklustre campaign. So now after 14 years in the NHL, Tatar is taking his talents overseas. He must have predicted a shallow market from NHL teams in free agency this upcoming offseason, or maybe he has an out-clause in his deal with EV Zug.
In any case, Tatar will continue his stellar pro career even if his NHL future is in doubt. If this is indeed his last hurrah in the NHL, he'll finish his NHL career with 227 goals and 496 points in 927 games split between the Detroit Red Wings, Vegas Golden Knights, Montreal Canadiens, Devils, Colorado Avalanche and Seattle Kraken.
