Toronto Maple Leafs general manager Brad Treliving has brought in yet another new face for the Leafs, though this move is mostly for bolstering their depth.
Forward Josiah Slavin has been signed after having spent last season splitting his time between the Rockford Ice Hogs and San Diego Gulls of the American Hockey League
He was originally selected with the 193rd overall pick by the Chicago Blackhawks in the 2018 NHL Draft, and has appeared in a total of 15 games, registering an assist.
His best professional season came in 2021-22 with the Ice Hogs, the American Hockey League affiliate of the Blackhawks. He racked up 18 goals and 14 assists in 49 games played.
He was later traded to the Anaheim Ducks for Hunter Drew in 2022.
