A devastating blow to the Golden Knights who are facing elimination in Game 6.
The Vegas Golden Knights will be without one of their most important forwards for the remainder of the Stanley Cup Final.
On Saturday, Golden Knights head coach John Tortorella confirmed part of the bad news when he admitted that Golden Knights forward William Karlsson would miss Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Final. That is of course a devastating blow to the Golden Knights and even more so when you consider the context of the fact that they will be facing elimination in Game 6.
Although Tortorella would not confirm that Karlsson will also be out for Game 7 should it be needed, insiders are already reporting that it is a forgone conclusion that Karlsson has already played his last game in these Stanley Cup playoffs. Golden Knights insider Jesse Granger of The Athletic is reporting that it is "clear" that Karlsson will miss the rest of the Stanley Cup Final.
Karlsson of course suffered the injury when he was on the receiving end of a big hit from Carolina Hurricanes defenseman Sean Walker. That hit appeared to crush Karlsson's left arm against the boards and he could be seen favoring that left arm as the trainers worked om him before he eventually left Game 5 due to injury.
Here is a look at the hit:

An incredibly tough break at the worst possible time for the Golden Knights.
