The Edmonton Oilers have been on a roll lately, however, it sounds like their luck might have run out. According to insider Jason Gregor of Oilers nation, two sources have confirmed that that Nurse will be out for a few weeks. It sounds like he will miss at least the remaining four games in November.

This might be unexpected to some fans who watched the Oilers’ 2-1 shootout win over the Winnipeg Jets on Thursday night. Nurse played almost three minutes of overtime, as he played through the injury. He revealed he was hurting once the game was over.

There is four games remaining in November with Edmonton hosting the Chicago Blackhawks on Saturday.

The initial prognosis is Nurse will be out a few weeks and that it is not considered to be a long-term injury. He was placed on the team's IR.

Losing Nurse - even for just a few games - is a tough blow for the Oilers as the defenseman has 20:20/game at 5×5, which is three minutes more than Duncan Keith who is second on the team. He hasn’t missed a game since the 2016-17 season.

The end of November will be a test for the Nurse-less Oilers…

On top of that, the Oilers also placed Slater Koekkoek on the injured reserve, while goalie Mike Smith, who's been out since Oct. 19th, is now on the long-term IR... The Oilers have therefore recalled defensemen Philip Broberg and William Lagesson from the AHL’s Bakersfield Condors.
