Despite the Bruins commitment to burning a year off rookie winger David Pastrnak's entry-level contract, it appears they are still looking for help at right winger. According to Fluto Shinzawa of the Boston Globe, the club remains interested in obtaining Chris Stewart from the Sabres, despite his porous numbers this season. Shinzawa writes: The Bruins have committed to burning the first year on David Pastrnak's entry-level contract. However, that doesn't eliminate a return to Providence if Pastrnak needs refreshing. It doesn't do Pastrnak or the Bruins any good if he's seeing limited varsity shifts. To that end, the Bruins have not eliminated Chris Stewart, once very much on their radar, as a pickup before the trade deadline. Pastrnak, who has been skating on the top line with David Krejci and Milan Lucic, could still be sent down to AHL Providence at some point, creating a hole that Stewart could yet fill. The Bruins are confident that Stewart would be an excellent fit in coach Claude Julien's system. Although the asking price for Stewart is reportedly high, middle ground may be found between the two teams before the deadline. Do you fans think Peter Chiarelli should make a move for Stewart?
