One goalie may be left out of a team's plans come this summer.
The Senators announced a three-year deal with goaltender Andrew Hammond on Wednesday that could make Robin Lehner expendable.
Craig Anderson, Hammond, Lehner and Matt O' Connor are currently listed as available options for the team and are all under contract. The 23-year-old Lehner posted a record of 9-12-3 in 25 regular-season games. Anderson is clearly the starter and Hammond was obviously a priority for them after his stellar performance this season. O'Connor was a coveted prospect and the Sens' managed to woo him, leaving Lehner surely without a position on the squad. The team has not ruled out going into training camp with three goalies, but that still leaves Lehner out of the mix.
Lehner is currently recovering from a concussion, but is expected to be ready for training camp.

There are a few teams in need of some goaltending help and depth. He will surely draw some interest.
